Real lime as the first ingredient — never artificial — with chia seeds that bloom into tiny pearls. Call it Mexico’s original electrolyte cooler: limonada con chía, ready in about a minute.
The classic glass
- Stir 1 tbsp into 1 cup of cold water (a heaping ¼ cup per liter).
- Rest it 2–3 minutes so the chia blooms, stir again, and pour over ice.
Variation 1 — Coconut-lime
- Swap half the water for coconut water, or add a splash of coconut milk.
- Creamy, bright, and a little tropical — like a limonada and an horchata met in the middle.
Variation 2 — Frozen limeade
- Blend a prepared glass with a big scoop of ice for an instant slushie.
- Or pour into molds for tart-sweet chia paletas.
Good to know
- Chia floating is expected — give it a few minutes to bloom and a good stir.
- Want it seed-free? Strain before serving.
- Powder clumping? Dissolve in a splash of warm water first, then top with cold water and ice.
